NTID Unveils Exciting Website
Greetings,
The National Technical Institute of the Deaf recently unveiled a new deaf theatre website coordinated by Aaron Kelstone with the assistance of EDR staff Simon Ting and Cathy Clarke and faculty member Patricia Durr. This webiste showcases and promotes the works of national deaf and hard-of-hearing actors, performers and scriptwriters avalable through the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, a college of Rochester Institute of Teechnology. The site is designed for actors, performers, scriptwriters, students, teachers, scholars, and researchers. It offers access to biographies of the actors, performers or scriptwriters with descriptions of their work. Articles, scripts, book chapters and links to related sites are also featured. Please note that this is still a work in progress and more items will be added through this year.

Hi Jane,
HNY! Thank you for sharing this informnation with us. I just viewed NTID’s new website on Deaf Theatre….wow! I know I’ll be going back and reliving some of those historic theatric stories and reading some I didn’t even know about. It is wonderful to see all this on the internet. We have a lot of interesting histories to tell and I’m glad there is a place for us now. I also enjoy your site as it gives me the opportunity to review many different information on deaf theatre and happenings. All the best and warmest regards…Sharon

Jane - biggest thanks for this entry. I assume u got the announcement of the site from Joan Naturale, our MARVELOUS librarian. Joan was INSTRUMENTAL in securing permission to re-produce many of the scripts, articles, and videotapes in the new site so big hand waves to Joan. She is incredibly humble so may have neglected to mention her important role in this site when helping to spread the word about its existence. If folks have inquires about the site they can contact Aaron.
the new site features alot of video clips from Deaf Mosaic - so thankful those were produced and Gallaudet has allowed those excerpts up in the DEAFTHEATRE site.
again - thanks for helping to spread the news
Best wishes for more Deaf theatre to be produced in 2010 and beyond
Peace
Patti
